Rooted in Community: The Heart of the Gloversville Farmers Market

In an era of global supply chains and digital convenience, the local farmers market remains a vital heartbeat for Gloversville. More than just a place to check off a grocery list, the market is an essential engine of economic resilience and social connection. When we shop here, we ensure our dollars stay within the community, supporting the families and farms that call the Mohawk Valley home.
Bridging the Gap
Beyond the economics, the market meets a critical urban need: access to fresh, nutrient-dense food. By bringing the harvest directly into the downtown core, the Gloversville Farmers Market helps bridge the gap in food access, ensuring seasonal produce is available right where people live and work.
Hosted by the Fulton-Montgomery Farmers Market Association (FMFMA), the market maintains a strict producer-only standard. This means every vendor grew, raised, or crafted the products they offer, ensuring a direct connection between the producer and your table.
A Legacy of Local Commerce

The Gloversville Farmers Market has long been a cornerstone of our downtown identity. For years, the Elm Street Pavilion has served as a gathering place where the city's industrial history meets its agricultural surroundings. Historically, markets like ours provided a venue for regional farmers to bring the bounty of the valley to the residents of the "Glove City."
Today, that tradition continues as the market evolves into a destination that blends commerce with culture, music, and community spirit. It serves as a vital launchpad for local small businesses—from bakers and honey producers to artisans crafting handmade soaps and seasonal wreaths.
2026 Season Opens May 9

Starting Saturday, May 9, the Elm Street Pavilion will once again come alive with the sights and sounds of the community. Whether you are looking for peak-season vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, or a morning of live local music, there is something for everyone. Gloversville based food truck Nibbles & Bites returns to the market as well.
Supporting the market is a direct investment in the future of our downtown. We look forward to seeing you at the Pavilion this Saturday.
