Gloversville Centennial Club Nominations Sought

 

In honor of New York State History Month this coming October, we are launching the Gloversville Centennial Club to recognize anchor establishments that have served our community for a century or more. From local shops and non-profits to foundational community institutions, we want to celebrate the legacy anchors that prove Gloversville is a place where investments endure and thrive.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a business or organization located within Gloversville city limits.

• Must have been in operation for 100+ years.

• Note: Continuous family or entity ownership is not required, as long as the organization itself has operated in the city.

 

How to Nominate:  Please use the printable nomination form by clicking here to share the organization's founding history and community impact. Printing the accompanying image of the nomination form is also sufficient. The nomination window is open from September 1 – September 25, 2026.

Save the Date: October 9 Inductees will receive commemorative window clings and official recognition during a special presentation ceremony under the historic Glove Theatre marquee on Friday, October 9, officially kicking off the NYS Path Through History Weekend. Help us give our long-standing institutions the recognition they deserve!
