Fulton County Barbershop: Where Shaves, Haircuts, and Podcasts Meet
At 17 N. Main St. in Fulton County, Mike Medina's barbershop has been a downtown staple since 2011. Known for his welcoming demeanor, Mike has now blended his traditional business with a modern twist: the "Shop Talk FCB" podcast. Recorded within the barbershop's walls, the podcast mirrors Mike's approach to his physical space – a gradual refinement to connect with a broad audience. Adding to the local flavor, the podcast has also welcomed prominent figures like Gloversville Mayor Vince DeSantis and Fulton County Center for Regional Growth’s Economic Development Specialist Kenneth Adamczyk. Interestingly, while a more seasonal guest, Santa Claus, visits the shop during the holidays to reward young readers with free haircuts, he hasn't yet stepped into the podcast studio.
