A Taste of Revival: Gloversville’s Downtown Dining Scene Is on the Rise

There’s something delicious happening in downtown Gloversville. Stroll along Main or Fulton Street, and you’ll catch the aroma of sizzling fajitas, freshly baked bread, or a perfectly seared steak drifting through the air. In the past year, a wave of new eateries has joined beloved neighborhood classics—transforming Gloversville into one of the region’s most surprising and satisfying food destinations.

New Flavors, Fresh Faces

The Railyard

📍 97 W. Fulton St.

After a soft summer launch, The Railyard officially rolled open its doors on October 1, offering both indoor and patio dining in a cozy, industrial-chic setting. Under the direction of Michael Salvione—who also owns Milo’s Italian Deli—The Railyard’s menu blends comfort and sophistication. Think chicken and eggplant parmigiana, shrimp scampi, and tender filet mignon. It’s a place that feels both new and nostalgic, perfect for date night or Sunday dinner with friends.

Owners Maria and Ray Sosa bring authentic Mexican flavors to Gloversville, from rich birria tacos to tamales and fajitas.
