Celebrate Valentine’s & Galentine’s Days with Downtown Gloversville
Valentine’s Day is quickly coming and while this holiday is typically known for celebrating love between couples, many people use the day to show all their loved ones how special they are, whether it be their children, their parents, a friend, co-workers or others like a teacher. According to the web page, https://capitaloneshopping.com/research/valentines-day-shopping-statistics, an estimated $25.9 billion was spent on Valentine’s Day last year. On average, Americans spent $192.80 in 2023 on this holiday with over 136 million shopping for gifts. “More consumers (57%) purchase candy than any other Valentine’s Day gift item,” according to the site. After candy, top gifts include greeting cards, flowers, dining out, jewelry and gift cards.
All these items are available in Downtown Gloversville so be sure to get your holiday shopping done locally. Those who honor “Galentine’s Day” instead, a day celebrated the day before Valentine’s Day for ladies celebrating ladies, can also take advantage of these offers.
