Small Business Selfie Photo Contest
Nov. 25th - Dec. 10th, 2023

The Gloversville Downtown Development Specialist (GDDS) Office at Fulton County Center for Regional Growth (CRG) is sponsoring an online photo contest with the focus being on Downtown Gloversville businesses.

“The holiday shopping season is here and with it comes a focus on supporting our local and small businesses,” said Jennifer Donovan, the Gloversville DDS. “From Nov. 25th (Small Business Saturday) through Dec. 10th, shoppers are encouraged to come to Downtown Gloversville and take a photo of their experience and to submit digital photos. A winner will be drawn randomly from the entries on Dec. 11th and the winner will receive a gift certificate from the Downtown Gloversville business of their choice.”

Photos will be shared on the Downtown Gloversville Facebook Page during the shopping season.

“This is a fun way to promote Downtown Gloversville and have people support the businesses and shops. While we want to see selfies, photos of people actually inside the stores purchasing items, or at shops purchasing a service such as getting their hair and nails done, or dining at a local eatery, we understand people can be photo shy. The big requirement is that the photo must be taken inside the establishment, so it shows your pledged support to helping small businesses.”

 Rules include:

• Participants must be ages 18 and older.

• One entry per person

• Prefer the photo to be a selfie but can be item being purchased, being eaten, or being used inside a Downtown Gloversville business.

• All entries must be taken inside a Downtown Gloversville business. Content must be positive. This means no obscenity, vulgarity, profanity, or pornography will be accepted. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is considered inappropriate or fraudulent.

• There is no entry fee.

• Submissions must be digital and NOT hard copies.

• All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the promoter (Gloversville Downtown Development Specialist Office) who may publish or cause to be published any of the entries received.

• The winner is picked randomly from the entries and will receive a $50 gift certificate from a Downtown Gloversville business of their choice.

• Participants must acknowledge they will fully release and hold Meta (Facebook) harmless from liability and understand that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta.
